Personal Development

School for Wonder Founder Jesse White is an all original artist and personal development mentor who records on her own indie label called Authentic Voicework Records.

Jesse has performed throughout the United States since 1993. Her first release Patient Heart is a clean, refined debut, with ten original acoustic tracks. Jesse's alto/tenor voice carries a full complement to her finger-style guitar.

A born poet, Jesse combines spoken word with original songs in her shows. IndieMusic.com reviewer Les Reynolds describes her music as having incredible depth and gorgeous vocals.

Recording artist Kate Campbell endorsed Jesse's first release:

There is a healing and openness in Jesse's music that feeds your soul and touches your heart. Kate Campbell

An extraordinarily
sensitive artist.
Josh Meckler
South Bend Tribune

This music transmits peace.

JESSE WHITE: Soft Power

Soft Power has a few guest artists appearing, including the fabulous multi-instrumentalist Duncan Wickel on fiddle (he was only 11 years old!) Sue Ford on cello and Sherri Lynn Clark vocals.

Soft Power is out of print now, and still available through 50 digital distributors.

JESSE WHITE: Unarmed
Unarmed is a cool collection of Jazz, African, Middle Eastern and Folk, with half of the tracks improvised by Jesse. Calling on her African and Choctaw roots, she reaches into the territory of the unseen.

Unarmed is a mix of improvisational songs, poetry and African music. Master drummer Akeem Ayanniyi adds his Djembe, Talking Drum, and Ashiko from a long line of master drummers in Nigeria on "Blind Man's Bluff" and "Beautiful." Akeem speaks the intro in Yoruba on "Beautiful"

Unarmed is out of print, and still available from 50 digital distributors.

Quotes from Happy Clients

You model groundedness in your pace, with your sparkle and the joy that emanates from you. You never pretend to be on a different plane. You are such a gifted teacher, and the world needs what you have to give!
-Maura Wolf, In Balance Coaching

Uncommon are the fine performers, with more to give than performance; teachers born, able to cultivate the expression of others. Jesse is one of those rare people. -Mary Morris, Teacher, Santa Fe

Transformational Leadership Courses

I constantly use your insights to notice how the workings of the mind differ from what is actually happening. It is a very calming, centering exercise. I can’t wait for you to come teach a workshop at my yoga center.
-Jennifer Lynn, Yoga Instructor, Maui

The genuineness of this work you do is such a relief to me. I’m used to putting on costumes, analyzing, figuring things out. Now I hear the difference between masked voices, catching in the throat, and deeply connected voices from the depth of the soul.
-Laura Schuster, Teacher, Actor, Indonesia

I have shows in four major cities this week, but I want to come back and work with you as soon as I get home. Your sense of humor is incredible. You put me at ease right away. You should be teaching at Omega!
-David Wilcox, Recording Artist, Asheville, NC

Your honesty is refreshing. The masks have to come off, and I needed a guide. Thanks for being the kind of teacher that motivates me to be my best. Personal development of teachers is essential. Would you mind if I gave your brochure to my Rabbi?
-Bonnie Goldberg, Miami, FL
